IMPORTANT INFORMATION
NEW YORK CONCEALED CARRY LICENSE INFORMATION
A New York concealed carry license does not authorize carrying a firearm in every location. License restrictions and legal requirements must be understood before carrying.
UNDERSTANDING LOCATION RESTRICTIONS
New York restricts firearms in designated sensitive locations. Applicable federal law, state law, court orders and private-property restrictions may affect where carrying is permitted.
CARRYING IN NEW YORK CITY
A county-issued New York pistol license generally does not independently authorize concealed carry in New York City. Eligible county license holders may need an applicable NYPD Special Carry License.
SENSITIVE LOCATION EXAMPLES
Restricted locations may include schools, certain government buildings, courthouses, public transportation, covered healthcare facilities, polling places and other locations designated by law.
CHECK CURRENT REQUIREMENTS
Firearms laws and court decisions change. Before carrying, verify the current rules applicable to your destination, license type and circumstances.
Review current official guidance and applicable laws before carrying a firearm. Front Line Training Center does not provide legal advice.
